The nation Kingdom of Hylanthia
It has been said that “Hylanthia exists more within the heart than under your feet”. What the nation Kingdom of Hylanthia lacks in size, it more than makes up for it with it's beauty. Nestled on a nearby coastal plain Hylanthia, exhibits all the trimmings you would expect of a kingdom – small lakes, fields of wildflowers, verdant forests, rolling green hills, a staggering coastline, and of course a Royal Palace.
The Kingdom of Hylanthia, under the guidence of the Royal Privy Council and their efforts to expand the Royal Court through the unprecedented open enrollment set forth by the Royal Proclamation has experienced a surge in popularity. These new resources has enabled the Royal Council to be able bring their offer to the world via the Internet and share the joy of creating 'Real Princesses' even further. Plans are even in the works for a future Convention & Royal Ball for the members of the Royal Court including all 'Real Princesses' to be held in the United States.
The Royal Flag and Shield Crest
The official Royal Flag and Shield Crest are pictured below. Like most national flags, the colors and features has symbolic meaning.
Colors:
Royal Blue – Represents the colors and life energy of the sea and sky. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth. Since Hylanthia lies on the coast, the ocean and its themes mean a great deal to them.
Royal Maroon – Hylanthia's main color is Maroon which tends more towards a dark red, almost purple. The color red has many meanings as it is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love. Purple is associated with royalty and symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition.
Pure White – Associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity. It is considered to be the color of perfection.
Hylanthian Gold – Gold is a combination that matches the vibrancy and symbolism of both Orange and Yellow. Yellow is the color of sunshine. It's associated with joy, happiness, intellect, and energy. Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation. Gold evokes the feeling of prestige. The meaning of gold is illumination, wisdom, and wealth. Gold often symbolizes high quality.
Symbolic Features:
Four Stars – Represents the Four Virtuous Aspects of Strength, Intellect, Beauty and Heart. These ideals are held in high regard and as standards to live up to. Each member of the Princess Royal Membership Council should try to live their best life, increasing their value in each of these Aspects, while helping others to live up to their best also.
Heraldic Lions & Heraldic Dolphins – Represents the Strength, Wisdom and Grace of the Kingdom and its' Royalty.
White Sash – This heraldic 'party in bend sinister' sash decoration represents life's path from birth to death, from lowly beginnings to royal endings and the journey to realize those dreams.
Golden Crown – Represents the royalty aspect of the Kingdom of Hylanthia. Afterall, is it a Kingdom, so it must have a crown.
National Flower:
The Pink Lily – Wildflowers grow through the countryside and in the Royal Gardens. Lilys are one of the late King's favorites flowers as his also deceased Queen's first name was Lilith.
National Bird:
The Swan – Hylanthia has several inland lakes that are home to a variety of waterfowl, including a small pond in the Royal Gardens that is home to several dozen of these majestic if somewhat tempermental bird.
